Design Intern & Backstage Dresser: Roksanda Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear

I have interned at Roksanda three months prior to the Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection. Throughout the internship, I have assisted the senior designers by fabric cutting, preparing garments for production, sewing toiles and sampling design details. In the process of creating the collection supported the designers through concept research in many different sources including making visits to libraries. I have participated in the making of trimmings through fabric manipulation, which has been used in the demonstrated collection with different designs. Details have been created through fraying variety of fabrics to add volume and texture to the designs, which is made by hand for each garment. Additionally, hand-painted accessories and leather goods for the stying of the show. Quality control was essential to make sure the standards of the designers have been met. At the end of my three months design internship I have participated as one of the backstage dressers in London Fashion Week Spring 2018 for Roksanda collection. All the work demonstrated is copyrighted by Roksanda Ilincic, I have simply participated in the project as a design intern and backstage dresser.
