Design Week Portland: Placemaking for a Sustainable Future

  • Miranda Fung

As part of our local brand engagement, I orchestrated a panel discussion around the future of placemaking and how we plan the way we build communities with intention. This included recruiting and engaging local community leaders, organizing content strategy and topics/questions, overseeing all event management aspects (video, lighting, logistics, communications, invites), and overall, leading the project with purpose and vision.

Placemaking has the power to improve the quality of life for future generations, so how can we use our businesses, brands, and institutions as catalysts for positive change? How do we design spaces that allow us to gain efficiencies, work on what we love, make purchasing decisions, and all of the in-between?
EYELEVEL Portland sat down with a lineup of the city's finest from architectural planning, manufacturing, sustainability, and retail brand experience to explore the paradigm shift of live/work/play/shop ecosystems.
