Dharmic Prayer Room

I successfully initiated and led The Dharmic Prayer Room Project, which established a dedicated prayer and meditation space on campus for university students and staff of Dharmic faiths, including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists. The project also provided the wider student community with a tranquil zone for meditation. Key Achievements: • Secured Funding: Collaborated with Anglican Chaplain Reverend Orion Edgar to secure funding from the Student Opportunities Fund, with additional support from the Hindu and Sikh societies for the proposal. • Space Acquisition: Partnered with Revd Orion and Strategic Space Business Partner Mark Nettleton to identify and secure a suitable room on campus for the prayer space. • Design and Launch: Personally designed and decorated the room, and organized the launch event with a pooja (prayer ritual) in collaboration with the Hindu Society. Promoted the event via social media, and successfully opened the prayer room to the entire university community on November the 9th, 2023.
