About me
I am an English Literature Graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London, passionate about publishing, politics and the entertainment industry. I'm keen on exploring full-time roles in TV, radio, writing, marketing, and communications.
• I have experience hosting my own South Asian music radio show, ‘The Desi Fix’, where I promoted South Asian culture and news. I also excel in digital content creation across various organisations and developed a love for political writing during my time at university. I have served as Editor-in-Chief of the student political journal ‘The Despatch Box’, and actively engage with The Young Conservatives and The Conservative Women’s Organisation.
• Along with politics, my other interests include exploring literature, culture, and religion. I use a lot of my free time to delve into religious studies, and have completed a Gita Gyan - Essence of Bhagavad Gita course to deepen my understanding of Hindu scriptures. Committed to sharing the teachings of Hinduism, I manage an Instagram account dedicated to this purpose and created a Dharmic Prayer Room at my university to provide students and staff with a dedicated space for prayer on campus. Recently, I have also explored Zoroastrianism and completed a course which introduced me to its key teachings.
• With a rich background spanning roles in parliament, Prospect Magazine, Remarkable Entertainment, and Penguin General, I have acquired a wealth of experience across multiple industries and am open to all creative experiences.
Projects
- Dharmic Prayer RoomI successfully initiated and led The Dharmic Prayer Room Project, which established a dedicated prayer and meditation space on campus for university students and staff of Dharmic faiths, including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists. The project also provided the wider student community with a tranquil zone for meditation. Key Achievements: • Secured Funding: Collaborated with Anglican Chaplain Reverend Orion Edgar to secure funding from the Student Opportunities Fund, with additional support
