Dimitri is a film about snooker and life intertwined. Dimitrios Betzlos goes to Cousins Snooker and Pool club every day to sit quietly in the corner and eat a cheese toastie. He is a man who remains unheard most of the time – but once you get talking to him it’s soon apparent that he is full of a treasure trove of stories which run parallel with the snooker club, a place which has been part of his life for over 20 years. The club has changed hands through time, serving different communities, but the hushed tones, clacking of balls and warm atmosphere remain the same. Cousins is a constant in an ever-changing world, and perhaps, so too is snooker.
