We spend the day with artist Tanya Ling in her warehouse studio in Wimbledon as she prepares for her solo show “We Have Life”, an exhibition that responds to exist in this moment. Having previously worked as a fashion illustrator has had a profound effect on the shaping of Tanya Ling’s artistic career, describing it as “something that, almost like a thief in the night, came, and happened”. Pioneer in displaying her work on social media in the form of a visual puzzle, Ling explains her upbringing, her use of colour and composition, and why she feels the responsibility to constantly make work.
