DisneyJunior.co.uk Site Redesign and Platform Migration

Project managed the redesign and site migration of DisneyJunior.co.uk. Used Omniture data and audience insight reports to refine and optimise Disney Junior’s web content, improved search visibility, retired underperforming content and introduced character-led navigation to improve kids experience.

Identified two audiences for the website, preschool kids and their parents/caregivers. Created a list of user needs to ensure the appropriate content was fit for purpose and was made available to the correct audience in a place they expect. Segmented the site so the homepage, games, activities and video pages were kid-focused and grown-ups had a dedicated area housing content about apps, internet safety and UGC birthday book
Responsibilities included:
- Performed site audit - analysed the audience and their needs as well as relevant analytics reports to identify content that would be migrated or removed
- Defined deliverables, timelines, risks, content migration plans and communication approach
- Managed resource, task prioritisation, project plan, status meetings and approvals with project team and stakeholders
- Worked with design team to commission redesign for the website including mock-ups, final designs and promotional assets
- Attended user testing sessions and adapted plans according to relevant feedback
- Built site using new in-house CMS, utilised queries to improve production effiencies
- Facilitated UAT and QA
- Executed launch plan, sunset old site and set-up redirects
- Monitored post-launch performance and bug-fixes
- Wrote producer guidelines in Confluence and shared project insights with wider digital team.
The project was delivered on time and met its KPIs of increasing time spent on site by 10% and improving reach by14%.
