Diverse Voices

The Diverse Voices programme has been set up by the National Opera Studio in the light of its report Opera Training for Singers in the UK, with funding from Help Musicians UK and others, and with the support of major UK opera companies. Diverse Voices will establish a supportive, challenging and creative network which will tackle the barriers to diversity and ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping a successful future for opera in the UK. My role is to co-ordinate meetings for the patrons and directors, send out invitations, updates, and make contact with individuals regarding the project. I manage the mailing list and I am the first point of contact for enquiries. I have also co-ordinated the roundtable discussions (which so far have included over 60 people) and the Gathering at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (which 84 guests attended) All images © NOS 2018
