Putting the 8 hour time difference to one side, the ‘Eksperience’ rebrand was a great opportunity to work with a team of professionals across both sides of the pond, from London (which included me) and Santa Barbara in California. Eksperience is a revolutionary white-label platform, created to help all student-athletes connect with fans, monetise their name, image and likeness (NIL), and build their long-term personal brand equity. The brief was to create a dynamic looking rebrand with a strong affinity to the sports sector and universities; their alumni and student-athletes along with attracting the interest of major investors. The NIL market (which allows student-athletes to benefit from their own brand whilst still at college) was only given the thumbs up by the NCAA as recently as June 2021. There are already a number of contender platforms jostling for pole position. My bet is on this one. Not just because I am obviously biased. It’s supported by a very good marketing team, that clearly understands the college/sports market, and who are themselves equally passionate about sports as they are about turning a small-league platform into a top-league winner. Eksperience was created by Austin Eskler, a former footballer for the Western Colorado Mountaineers.
