El Barrio (Photography)

El Barrio is a series of photographs taken by Tanausu in the neighbourhood where he grew up in Tenerife, Canary Islands, a council state that has seen many aesthetic transformations in order to somehow make the area look less bleak and after years of various painting jobs and changing features has contributed to the now worn out look, reducing garden space and covering much of the surrounding areas with abstract paintings and poured concrete floors.
