My penguin Design Awards 2016 submission for the children's book Emil and the detectives.
This German children's classic follows Emil on his quest to retrieve the money stolen from him on the train to Berlin. The money had been pinned to the inside of his jacket. With the help of the detectives, Emil caught the evil man in the bowler hat and proved the crime by the pin holes in the money, represented by the two red dots.
