ENGAGE: Intangible Practices, Relationships and Means of Engagement in Architecture

  • Melodie Leung

Co-curated by Melodie Leung, Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects and the Museum of Architecture and was part of the London Festival of Architecture and hosted at the ICA in June 2018. The conference considered the means of engagement with which architects navigate personal and professional relationships within the industry, and with which they engage the process of shaping the built environment to maintain relevance in a continually changing society. By harnessing these means of engagement, we evolve and substantiate an understanding of our individual and collective identities as they challenge us to consciously enact and affect change. The conference was divided into the three themed panel sessions below: EMPATHY AND EGO EMPOWERMENT CONFRONTATION AND COOPERATION The conference was supported by Finsa UK.
