Etudes

  • Karine Paronyanc

A living capture of the moment. The most direct contact with nature, without mediators and auxiliary means. Quite often this means work outside a comfortable studio and familiar conditions. This is the case when the entire world becomes a creative workshop. Plein air painting involves an acute sensation of life, both metaphorically and literally. Etude presupposes a high level of professionalism and absolute composure of an artist in order to be able in extremely short time to swiftly catch just the essence, to convey the crucial thing, to catch and capture a fleeting moment. After all, nature is in constant motion: wind, water, changeable character of chiaroscuro, people, animals, birds… The world does not stand still.
