THE BRIEF
Designing a prototype of a mobile app and a website for a service related to the sharing economy.
THE IDEA
The idea was to create Eventoo, a service that allows users to find or offer a ride to go to different kind of events such as concerts, matches or plays, by sharing the car with other people. In this way, they can save money and share their experience with new people with the same interests.
The advantages, compared to the other already existing services, are that Eventoo allows to find a ride from the selection of an event, to simplify the process of finding a round-trip ride, to arrive at the exact location where the event takes place and to discover new events from your friends.
THE PROCESS
We used a human-centered design approach and we started creating a survey and interviewing people who already use carpooling services or who are interested in going to events. Then, we analysed and classified the information and we created Personas and customer journey maps to understand the main aspects of their experiences. After that, we created the use cases for our app/website, together with wireframes and users flows and then we designed the UI. We designed the different screens and at the same time we created a prototype using InVision. This passage from the UI design to the prototype and vice versa allowed us to get feedbacks from other people and improve the design on every step.
