Events // The Taste Issue supper club series

  • Olivia Squire

To celebrate and build buzz around the launch of Vol. 29 of SUITCASE Magazine, The Taste Issue, I organised a series of three supper clubs for London-based readers, influencers and fans of the magazine. - A Palestinian supper club created in partnership with MATCHESFASHION and held in the attic space of their 5 Carlos Place flagship store. A guest list of 20 food and lifestyle influencers and contributors were invited to a Palestinian feast cooked by chef Joudie Kalla and encouraged to share the experience on social media. - A Cretan supper club held in the private dining room of The Ned. Tickets were sold online to readers for a Cretan feast cooked by chef Marianna Leivatidaki of Morito Hackney, mirroring her feature in the magazine. See the listing on Time Out here: https://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/suitcase-supper-club-a-cretan-feast-with-marianna-leivaditaki - A Sicilian supper club organised in tandem with The Thinking Traveller and Strazzanti & Co and held in the basement of Benk+Bo. Tickets were sold online to readers for a Sicilian feast cooked by Emilia Strazzanti, mirroring her feature in the magazine. See the listing on Time Out here: https://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/suitcase-supper-club-a-sicilian-feast-with-emilia-strazzanti I found partners, sponsors, chefs and venues for each event, organised the marketing and selling of tickets, created and managed the guest lists and gave an introductory speech at two of the three events. Both reader events sold out and all three were valuable marketing, branding and partnership tools.
