Expedition Gaudium is a publication of a personal logbook, it’s written by the explorer Angus Fictum. The logbook depicts the experiences and findings of Angus fictum, it starts as a more observative collection of drawings and descriptions but flows to a kinship between him and the organisms he finds on the planet. My inspiration for this narrative and logbook were drawings of Carl Linnaeus and Ernst Haeckel, but also reports and diaries of NASA astronauts. Many astronauts like Wubbo Ockels and Andre Kuipers come back from their space journey with spiritual insights about the continuance of planet earth. They urge us to live together in peace with the creatures that surround us and the earth is a precious gift to pass on to our descendants. The book contains over 100 pages.
