FAB28 ruby red Smeg fridge

3rd year project. This was made for an external brief project in which I worked with the head of marketing at Smeg UK. 1:5 scaled FAB28 ruby red Smeg fridge replica of one of the London window displays made by Trick of the eye. The model is a replica made to be displayed in Smeg UK's head office to show off their past creative advertising. The fridge itself has been made from model board, the rounded edges hand sanded using a jig I made to ensure each edge is the same. The splash has been sculpted, moulded in silicone and cast in fast cast. Everything filled and sanded to achieve a smooth finish ready to be primed, masked, sprayed its final colours and polished for a velvety smooth finish. The final detail was the handle and logo, which were laser cut and using a liquid chrome pen made to look like aluminium.
