Fabio & Grooverider presents Godfathers 24
On Saturday 4th July, pioneering DJ duo Fabio & Grooverider embarked on a 24 hour non-stop live stream in aid of Sickle Cell Society and Food For All UK. The marathon virtual party, aptly named Godfathers 24, ran from Saturday to Sunday noon covering the entire musical heritage of UK dance music, so spanning Funk, House, Jungle, D&B and everything in between. To lend a helping hand they enlisted this juicy line-up of VIP guests: Benji B, Carl Cox, DJ Zinc, Goldie and London Elektricity. An enviable list of legends all geared up with gems and exclusives for the special live broadcast.
The endeavour was in aid of two charities carrying out vital work in support of vulnerable impoverished families and those suffering from the rare blood disease sickle cell anaemia. The fundraising initiative came at a particularly tough time for the country, so it was with great honour I was able to contribute my efforts towards this amazing project.
My role on this was coordinating the stream across radio and social platforms, and then delivering on-demand versions for upload to Soundcloud and YouTube.
