Maker Series
Ben Briand is a Film Director and Photographer working across narrative and commercial disciplines. He crafts striking visual images whilst eliciting honest human performances from the heart of his stories. He has directed projects featuring Gal Gadot, Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Joseph Fiennes and Jackie Weaver to name a few. Ben’s personal film projects often feature his ongoing preoccupation with the themes of identity and memory.
Ben continues to work on unique projects and we got in touch to discuss his recent photography project 'Rural Muse', captured during the pandemic in a very isolated and rural area in New Zealand.

Robert Sherwood is an award-winning Cinematographer, born in Australia. Rob's films have screened at Festivals around the world, and he was awarded Gold for his film 'Black Moon' at The Australian Cinematography Society Awards. Black Moon is a short film focusing on devoted Australian photographer, Trent Mitchell and his experimental pursuits with the medium of photography. The film documents the creative process Trent takes to achieve his latest bodysurf series: Inner Atlas.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Eliot was exposed to and developed a passion for storytelling, music, and films at a young age. His early exposure to the world of visual storytelling has helped him develop a clear sense of taste that he portrays in the projects that he takes on. Most known for his work on Lyn Lapid's viral single "In My Mind", Eliot's ability to create visually interesting and emotionally charged films has led him to become an exciting young director to keep an eye on. From music videos to advertisements to narrative films, Eliot embeds his style and voice to an ever-growing body of work.

French Director and Photographer Arnaud Giacomini naturally turned to photography, and cinema, guided by his strong attraction to visuals art forms and directing process. His editorial 'Intimate Truth' published on The Forumist Magazine proves Arnaud has never stopped trying to capture a certain form of poesy in what surrounds him, whether in people or in nature.

Mattias Troelstrup, Cinematographer, Denmark
Mattias studied still photography from an early age. He has worked as a freelance Cinematographer for all the major production companies in Copenhagen. When he came to the American Film Institute in 2008, he was already one of Danish National Television's leading documentary Cinematographers, but after more than a decade of nonfiction work, the accomplished Cinematographer wanted to try his hand at narrative film making. Mattias is currently working on numerous international commercials and music videos for companies such as Pulse Films, Biscuit Filmworks, Stink and Community Films.
