Farewell

  • Ludovica Fregonara

FAREWELL consists of an app and a toolkit that coexist to assist the user by providing them the tools, resources, and support to help them achieve long term goals and gain deeper self-understanding. Alongside it, a video that’s purpose is to further explain how Farewell works. The app offers you a secure space to engage in reflective writing, get inspirational quotes and tracking your mood - all with a click on your phone. It also provides a range of activities to do with the complementary physical toolkit box. The toolkit includes various gadgets, each of which has a specific function that will help the user in difficult moments after the departure from their therapist. The performing of various activities will allow the user to experience pleasure in discovering and learning more about themselves thanks to its playful aspects. The video demonstrates the essence of my project. The idea is to shoot a “video interview”, in which respondents talk about their post therapy experience and share their ways tips and tricks in dealing with this important transition. All while interacting with the toolkit and the app - giving their views on them. The driving force behind Farewell is to help people who have left therapy by giving them the tools they need to “help” themselves in moments of discomfort. The aim is to supply a hand-holding device to smooth the departure from one’s therapist, but also feel as though one is still making progress on their own. Farewell gives people the ability to use the tools but also feel independent while doing it.
