FASHIONABLE MARK MAKING

  • Stephanie Gaignerot

This project particularly looked at the idea of mark making and how it can be developed into a textiles collection. The beautiful marks I created where made using textured scraps of materials. These marks influenced the woven structures I used. Using photoshop I developed the marks into print designs with different scales, repeats and layering. Through trend and market research I created a fresh contemporary colour palette. I particularly loved the block draft structure, as it gave so much more variety and design possibilities to the collection. The use of stripes and colour proportions is very modern. Our brief for this project was set by Dash & Miller.
