Under the guidance of Newgen sponsored Faustine Steinmetz I nurtured my vigour for handcrafted, slow-made design and individually processed pieces, with the focus being ‘to make a piece for someone to keep forever’. I worked on weaving samples for collaborations with commercial brands such as Cheap Monday and for Faustines own collection, shown at Somerset House and the ICA. I also spent much of my time in liaison with the chosen factories and cloth houses, working on research and backstage preparation.
