Female Identities, Beauty Diversity Respect

I considered it appropriate to create a project around a theme, which is always important to address and remember: the value of women. Unfortunately, we still live in a world full of discrimination and conflict, especially in thinking about what is currently happening in Iran and in Afghanistan. However, I like to see the positive side of things, and I am talking about the strength of those who put effort into making their voices heard and in fighting against these situations. Therefore, I decided to also make my own voice heard and collect some photographs from my archive to create a series that would concentrate on the splendour of the female portrait. The importance of these portraits resides in the identity of the subjects photographed, and how this manifests itself through their expressions, poses and colours. Consequently, the charm of this project resides in the diversity of every single image that composes it. These photographs do not need a description as I think that this would limit us in thinking about the identity of each subject. I decided not to include it in order to let them speak for themselves, and to let you, the visitor, imagine their story.
