Feminism & Motherhood: An Animated Documentary

Motherhood and Feminism is a mixed media animated documentary discussing the conflict and responsibility that women face today, career or motherhood? The documentary is told through a conversation between me and my mum where we explore these issues and delve into each other’s childhood through archive photographs and VHS recordings. The concept for this project was strongly influenced by feminist research I have done here at The University of Sussex, reading about feminist theory at an academic level prompted me to explore it through something closer to me, my mum.
