FestFest en Fest 2020

  • Rino Pucci

I was commissioned to document FestFest en Fest 2020 – an international festival of expanded choreography initiated and curated by H2DANCE, which takes place in East London. Partners: Trinity Laban, Goldsmiths University of London, Gaff Cafe, Colchester Arts Centre, Cambridge Junction, London Contemporary Dance School, Independent Dance, Roehampton University.

G H O S T  D I M E N S I O N S – Memory Ritual. Scattered Song. Mele Broomes and Ashanti Harris (of Project X) in collaboration with Healer Oran (sound) and Tseliso Monaheng (visuals). Ghost Dimensions explores themes of Identities, imposing architecture and the environments we move in. Experimenting with visibility, Ghost Dimension asks: Who is seen? How are they seen? Through what lense? On what platform?

A group of performers working together, a very long rope, knots, entanglements and all possible shapes – it’s  the fascinating and challenging workshop Communal Rope by the performance-duo QUARTO (Anna af Sillén de Mesquita and Leandro Zappala).

Amplified Edition” by H2DANCE (Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard) throws light on the fictive materiality at the heart of theatre.
Rino was fantastic to work with and very easy to be around and feel relaxed with. He was organised, helpful and felt like a fly on the wall documenting our new choreography festival, which is exactly what we needed. He was sensitive to all artists involved and never felt intrusive. Rino was communicative, organised and his pictures are a beautiful documentation, that really capture what Fest en Fest was about; coming together, new meetings and collaborations and a celebration of Nordic and British choreography.
