I am an experienced and very versatile storyteller with a multifaceted career in multimedia and video production – my clients include the BBC Philharmonic and The Guardian, among others.
Alongside my practice as a visual journalist for major news organisations, I have built an eclectic body of work – with both still and moving images – which spans from award-winning photofilms to documentaries and interactive websites for NGOs to shorts for wine makers and farmers.
Based in Manchester, as a photographer I specialise in portraiture.

- Artist portraits – it's not all about headshotsAs a portrait photographer, I take headshots. Loads of them. Especially for actors and performers. Actor headshots have their own grammar – the appropriate light, the subtle nod to a desired casting type, the eye as the fulcrum of the composition – which I fully respect (and try to adhere to as best as I can).
- FestFest en Fest 2020I was commissioned to document FestFest en Fest 2020 – an international festival of expanded choreography initiated and curated by H2DANCE, which takes place in East London. Partners: Trinity Laban, Goldsmiths University of London, Gaff Cafe, Colchester Arts Centre, Cambridge Junction, London Contemporary Dance School, Independent Dance, Roehampton University.
- Back to my roots – a series of B&W portraitsShooting with a black and white-only setting can be a risky choice, as there is no safety net – it's impossible to revert to colours as the picture in colours does not exist at all. But it's a risk worth taking for someone like me, who spent a significant part (to date, still the longest part) of my photographic career using B&W films.
