Festival Embassy

  • Alice Sewell

Festival Embassy was a series of micro-festivals at The House of St Barnabas, in the heart of London’s Soho.

A trilogy of festivals curated in partnership with founding members of the not-for-profit club; Rob da Bank, founder of Bestival, Gilles Peterson, founder of Worldwide Festival, and with Tom Baker's Eat Your Own Ears, producers of Field Day.

The festivals also saw the launch of a pay it forward ticket scheme. For every ticket bought, another was offered to someone who could not have afforded one, opening access to culture, live music, and the not-for-profit members' club. Tickets were distributed to graduates of the Employment Academy, Soho residents, and people supported by organisations that partner with The House of St Barnabas.

I secured organisational support and a budget for the project, and was responsible for production, marketing and communications.
