French Riviera architecture and coastal glamour are combined with 1950s’ jet-set chic to create a modern, timeless resort collection. Inspiration from shutters, parasols, and curves on iconic buildings inform voluminous silhouette, which is fluid yet structured at once. Large soft folds and layers in luxurious silk fabrics recreate movement of the parasols in a jacket, dress and full-length skirt, whilst shutters inspire pleats and tucks along the centre front and back of a shirt and curving around sleeves. Through draping and collaging, swirling full shapes are achieved with recurring layers. The patterns inspired by metal work in oversized scale are recreated using watercolours to reflect the relaxed ambience of the coast. Smooth silks and lightweight fabrics emphasise elegance and movement, which comes alive when worn. Vintage postcards inspire the base colour palette of sun-kissed mango, corals, orange and cream, offset by the deep blue ocean of the Côte D’Azur, framing each piece as a striped bias tape. Details such as UV printed poppers, striped trimmings, French seams and digital embroidery emphasises luxury and desirability combined with an imperfect loose, fluid fit to accentuate a relaxed glamour.
