Tonnikki's brand is a creative response to a problematic hyper climate scenario of an undersea attack by a mythical creature inspired by Peter Watt's Starfish book. How can garments change to defend, attack or adapt to the environment?. The collection mixes the sea environment for inspiration on colour/ mood and applying this with silhouettes/ details from technical sportswear in hiking, cycling, and running to shape innovation. The first collection is named The Importance of Water. A response to the physical activities that have been mentioned above, as it is commonly accepted that while being active, a water bottle should always be by one's side. This is the main focal point to create compartments in clothing to hold water bottle/ bladder packs. The idea is to raise awareness about global warming, as well as the reduction of plastic in the ocean.
