Final Undergraduate Project : 'Triangeology'

'Triangeology' is transformative material and surface exploration. It develops to show relationships between geometric triangulation and geological forms in design, using innovative processes and techniques to push boundaries in dimension, reflective of geometric triangulation and geological forms. These aspects are key in inspiring my use of materials, handling them in a 3 dimensional way. Materiality is a focus, with composite materials and tactile experiments taking a forward role to create decorative and innovative textile and surface samples. Influenced by geological matter, final surface and textile samples make up a combined collection that showcases my material and surface exploration, with Jesmonite a relatively new material, as the main focus. They have been made in a desirable way to show composite surfaces incorporating 3D pieces, bringing attention to the smart and sophisticated materials and technologies accessible in design today.
