In my role as the Vice President of the Queen's University Afro-Caribbean Society (2018/19), I co-lead the successful launch of the university’s first ever UK Black History Month celebration, this was a digital-first multi-channel campaign which set a precedent of innovation at Queen’s University. This was brought about in collaboration with VP of Equality and Diversity (and the Student Union) to bring a range of educational and entertaining events that engaged groups of students, staff and the wider Belfast community. I led our digital marketing strategy to achieve our KPIs for which we achieved an over 100% increase in average post reach and 150% increase in average post engagement. As a result of my leadership, organising and project managing skills, the campaign went on to win awards including the NUS Black Students' Campaign Awards Black History Month (HE) of the Year 2019.
