Fortune seekers - between uncertainty & future Gentle portraits of a society full of hope The portraits of the series "Fortune Seekers" refer to "the search for happiness in post-colonialism." They describe the life and work of the people of Madagascar where the aftermath of colonisation is still being felt. On my journey through Madagascar I wanted to capture fragmented moments of the inhabitants’ lives. With my portraits, I try to capture that moment which allows an insight into the inner soul of a person for a brief fraction of a second and in this way, non-verbally, tells a part of their story. The portraits are fragmentary, partly torn snapshots. They adopt a documentary attitude towards reality in order to deal with the real life circumstances of the protagonists. I would like to share the ongoing work and preliminary results with you. It would be great if someone can provide contacts to, a gallery and a publisher for this project. So does anybody have contact or can mediate?
