Sarah McCrory, Anna Colin, Claire Doherty and Francesco Manacorda on how to establish a unique and personal curatorial voice.
In this new series of four sessions organised by Sarah McCrory, respected curators discuss differing aspects of this wide-ranging practice.
Curatorial Voices is the series' third session looking at how different curators have shown contemporary art through a diverse range of framing structures and platforms. Leading curators Anna Colin, Claire Doherty and Francesco Manacorda have established unique and personal curatorial voices, through their work in foundations and institutions with varied audiences, budgets and geographies. They will discuss their work through examples of the organisations and projects they have inhabited and curated, and present examples of bold exhibition design and physical changes to space - from installation to finding unique spaces and contexts for artists to make work.
This series is a must-attend for anyone interested in pursuing a career as a curator or studying this field.
