Further East

Further East is an annual B2B business festival located in Bali, Indonesia. Founded by This Is Beyond, a leading trade exhibition organisation that reshapes industries into inspired communities, Further East is the latest brainchild in the portfolio. Established in 2018, Further East is Asia's most innovative high-end travel community, bringing together Asia's leading travel brands and global buyers in a unique 4 day format sprawled across one of Bali's most iconic beaches. The event agenda includes a half day thought-leadership un-conference, titled AWAKEN, bringing diverse speakers and curated content to the community. Through interactive sessions, keynote talks and beach side sunset networking, AWAKEN is an engaging opening forum. The following 3 days is based at the marketplace exhibition where 500+ delegates participate in a personalised schedule of one-to-one meetings, networking lunches and inspiring evening soirees creating unique immersive environments for business relationships to foster. As Head of Further East I was integral in building the concept of the event, brand and community, launching the sales & marketing strategy, establishing stakeholder partnerships, and managing teams, the budget and deadlines to deliver the project.
