Concept only Gallery bar and grill brings you the best of British cuisine within a renaissance pop culture stylised themed setting. Gallery invites you to discover the finest steaks and a la carte dishes, accompanied by a tantalising selection of cocktails that have been concocted to perfection. The Gallery’s walls are hung with works by artist Daniel Trammer, who’s love for dogs in uniforms offers a playful ambience with nooks and corners which create endless opportunities for socialising, which creates a visually stimulating dining experience. The owners took over an existing venue which had closed for business, with the intention of reopening with a new name and menu. I was approached to create a visual identity using the existing styling of venue as my foundation. My vision for this project was to introduce bright bold colours to contrast the venues existing vibe made from the grey and pastel tones fused with marble and wood materials. The logo was made up using a family of seven sans serif fonts, which enabled me to mix the characters within the logo and break them apart. So that each letter could be positioned individually, throughout all print and digital material, whilst maintaining a coherent visual language. These characters individually form symbols, that would also be cut from coloured vinyl and applied over parts of the existing artwork (portraits of dogs in uniforms) within the interior of the venue.
