Gentrify Th!s - An editorial research project

  • Ecem Pasa

Brief- Curate your research project findings into an editorial piece that can be used independently and/or commercially. Main Idea- This was a really personal concept, as I am a born-and-bred Londoner. Gentrification has been a focal problem in London for a while, causing vast social and economic issues within the community and general lifestyle. This particular publication contains a number of articles and various self-directed interviews of people affected in London, specifically in my local area, Hackney; Shoreditch, Hoxton and Dalston. The book is designed to be a visual journey, where pages gradually de-gentrify as the reader progresses to the end. The de-gentrification is mostly represented through the change of font, imagery and colour, and is a reflection of our evolving city. Roles and skills- Researcher. Writer. Editorial designer. Analog photography. Art direction. Project Leader.
