With technology becoming more important in our everyday lives, we are used to seeing it function and how it aids our day to day. However it’s the inside, which is what gives it purpose and makes it work how we want. The components inside are the integral part of the technology that is often forgotten. These complex parts have been designed and made by someone who knew they wouldn’t be seen, and it didn’t matter what they looked like as long as they did their job. They are filled with order, a sense of control, repeat, unusual shapes and a mix of materials. The beauty inside needs to be appreciated, in a way that no one thought they ever could be. This project explores the unusual shapes and mix of materials featured in circuitry.
