Giant Gallery gift shop

Contemporary artist Stuart Semple recently opened the largest artist run gallery space outside of London in my hometown of Bournemouth. The aim was to develop a vibrant hub for contemporary art. Within this 15,000sq foot space they wanted to create a curated gallery gift shop, and asked me to oversee this part of the project. We set about designing bespoke furniture and create a colourful array of art products and prints that also linked to each exhibition. We had custom made units that could be moved around and adapted as the shows changed over every three months. Part of the product collection was Stuart's own work, with his art materials brand Culture Hustle. We also included a reading room in the shop space full of art books and magazines.
