Gibbs Gillespie is the largest independent Estate Agent in Middlesex, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire. Offering expert help for all property needs - from a property valuation to helping you find your perfect property for sale or to let.
THE CHALLENGE
Gibbs Gillespie came to us with a very clear idea of what they wanted. Less clutter, better functionality, Cleaner imagery and a site that stands up to its rivals in a competitive market. A site that would increase enquiries and display the various offerings of the company in an organised manner
THE FOCUS
Our aim was clear from the start. Focus on what was needed to make the site great and add the new functionality that would enable it to rival the best estate agencies in the country. To do this we reviewed a number of agencies and looked to identify which aspects were appreciated by the clients. Intelligent search functionality and detailed property specifications came high on the list. As the site grew we worked closely with DNA Digital to create functionality that could be customised to each search requirement. Whether that be the need for a property close to a station or a multi million pound estate with its own leisure facilities. 
We were also keen to design a site that was easy to navigate and displayed the necessary information in an accessable way. Through design concept reviews with the companies founders we were able to devise a structure that fitted their requirements. Dividing the main page layouts into clearly defined sections added with the use of easily legible fonts increased the navigation time across the site. 
Another key area was the property listings and details pages. The decision was made to implement a tab system within the details section to reduce the page clutter enabling property buyers to review individual aspects such as floor plans and EPC's.
For the Gibbs Gillespie site we wanted to produce a solution that would enable the user to navigate the site and search for property with ease. With this in mind we produced a number of initial sketches that enabled us to develop a structure that would function across all devices. Taking into account the users requirements and including direct feeds from Reapit and Veco. 
THE NEW GIBBS GILLESPIE SITE
2016 saw the completion of the new Gibbs Gillespie website. This site incorporated a full background of the company and its founders alongside a fully customized property search engine. Covering over 18 sales and rental offices within Middlesex, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire. The site also needed to allow regular updates to all aspects by the Gibbs Gillespie. This was achieved with a custom CMS developed in partnership with DNA Digital. 
SCULPTING THE BRAND
Over a four year period I worked along side the owners of Gibbs Gillespie to help sculpt the the brand as you see it today. Ensuring consistency across all media which reflects the professionalism of the business. This included a range of direct mail pieces, promotional items and a monthly magazine.    
Also as part of the creation of the new site we were involved in its submission to the 2016 property awards. This included the creation of various print elements including the Gibbs Gillespie property awards brochure pictured below. This focused on all of the companies key offerings in support of their award nominations.
