Go Chi Pin

A logo for "prank-rock" band Go Chi Minh for a bowling themed era of their music. They requested a logo inspired by the bowling episode of the Simpsons. I wanted to honour the reference while still appearing unique to the band so I made the decision not to draw in the famous Simpsons style and instead adopt a new style that was equally quirky and bold for the band (this cartoon representation of them I would use again in other branding). I also had in mind the fact that this image would be made into an embroidered patch so used a semi-bold line weight and simple for the characters and title so that it could translate clearly into thread.
