Google Giving

  • Jade Coleman
This self written project aimed to discuss the worldwide projects that Google are involved in. The piece is designed to be displayed in their new London office, as a discussion piece for employees and visitors to enjoy. It talks about the positive impact of Google, as they often get criticised for reasons relating to energy usage, advertising and censorship.

Google have a responsibility to society, so they use their resources to address global challenges such as terrorism, climate change, education and poverty. Their website http://www.google.com/giving describes the details of these projects.

Each of these structures were handmade from paper, and with help from a friend who studied engineering, we transformed them into interactive pieces that move when the handles are turned. This was to promote our impact as individuals, and Google's role of bringing people together using the web and their worldwide projects.
