Graduate Fashion Week
Graduate Fashion Week is the world’s leading event that celebrates the creativity of students and graduates of fashion. Founded in 1991, Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) showcases the work of over 1,000 of the very best students and graduates from the most influential and inspiring universities around the world. Over the course of its tenancy, the annual event attracts over 30,000 guests and features an eclectic mix of live photo shoots; interactive talks; catwalk shows and exhibitions, ending with a spectacular Awards show to celebrate the rising stars and future faces of fashion. Past winners include Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald.
Crown supported this coveted event both in 2015 and 2016, its 25th anniversary, producing its finale Awards show. Winners are awarded bursaries for themselves and their universities to continue their fashion journey and cultivate the next generation of talent. Judges not only look for exceptional design and innovation, but also originality, flair and forward-thinking individuals who can challenge and make a difference to the fashion industry with their collections.
Working closely with the GFW team, Crown were hands on in the planning phase, selecting the models, curating the music, aligning the set design, show production and onscreen graphic animations to represent the future of creative design talent. On Awards night, Crown oversaw the production of the event, choreographing the runway, providing scripts for hosts and showcalling in addition to coordinating and bringing together operations to ensure the night’s success.
“Thanks so much for your contribution to our 25th Anniversary event. Everyone has been incredibly complimentary about the standard of the event and the Awards in particular. I know GFW is an overwhelming event at times but the finale event was a great success and very grateful for all your hard work on it.”
