Grand National Deaths, Falls & Injuries

Based around a social issue that I was interested in, I designed two double page spreads to inform people how the media make out the Grand National to be much more dangerous than it really is. The idea was formed around my love for horses and at around the time of this brief, had just been another Grand National bringing up various discussions about whether the media over exaggerates all deaths, falls and injuries caused by this event.
So I chose to look into this topic to find out the truth. Using data visualisation I showed all of my findings clearly for people to make their own decision once and for all, without the conflict and confusion influenced by the media. The spreads are designed for editorial use.
