CEOs and Co-Founders, Digital Mums

Some 54,000 women lose their jobs every year due to maternity discrimination, and there are currently 2.6 million mums not working in the UK. Kathryn Tyler and Nikki Cochrane are on a mission to change this state of affairs with Digital Mums.
The socially-minded organisation upskills mums with in demand social media and digital skills to help them access stimulating, flexible careers that fit around their busy family lives. Businesses also benefit, as Digital Mums graduates provide high-quality, flexible social media support to help them grow.
The team has grown from two to 32 in the past three years, winning multiple awards in the process. To ensure as many mums as possible have access to flexible work, Digital Mums also uses 10% of its profits to train low-income mums via a bursary fund.
As part of its mission, Digital Mums created the #WorkThatWorks Movement, which aims for flexible working to be seen as the norm for everyone and not just the reserve of a ‘lucky’ few.
