An events management company based in Brighton curating events at some of the most respected venues on the south east coast such as Patterns, Concorde 2, The Arch, Bou Wow and Sticky Mikes booking artists such as Benga, MJ Cole, Huxley, CasisDead, Monki, Zed Bias, Murlo, Paleman and many more. In addition we also curated a student night which took place at Patterns on a Tuesday night and were invited to be a part of the foundations collective, which is a team of promoters who host nights on a Friday and is focused on bringing through the best up and coming talent within the underground music scene in the UK. https://www.facebook.com/GrassRootsPres


Role: Marketing and Programming Manager

Responsibilites:
  • Develop a marketing plan highlighting the key action plan for the year based about physical and digital strategies and campaigns using sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter posters and flyers.
  • Conducted advanced market and competitive research and analysis, highlighting opportunities and trends.
  • Responsible curating events, managing the projects and negotiating with artists such as Benga, Monki, Huxley, MJ Cole, Zed Bias and venues across Brighton such as Patterns, The Arch, Concorde 2, Sticky Mikes, Green Door Store
  • Worked with external graphic designers and videographers to create content for the social media accounts, which reinforced the brand identity and tone of voice of the brand as well as engaging followers strengthening brand loyalty.
  • Managed social media pages which included creating the events, creating engaging content, increase following and interaction on these social media pages as well as using their PPC tools to create targeted marketing messages to specific consumers on social media.
  • In addition I was responsible for reaching out to a number of influencers and media outlets on social media to promoter and cover the event on their pages in return for free tickets, allowing us to build up a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Set KPI and ensured they were met by the team as well as finding ways to improve the KIP year on year to allow to business to grow.

Key achievements:
  • Fully accountable for social media presence – 30% increase month on month in terms of organic Facebook following and traffic.
  • Responsible for curating, organising and marketing sell-out events with venue capacities of up to 700 people across Brighton with total revenue of £30,000.
  • Negotiating with venues and artists as well as optimising physical and digital marketing strategies which allowed us to cut our costs by 35% across our first 4 shows which were essential for us to remain in budget and achieve a profit
  • Being invited by Patterns to be apart of a team of promoters who are responsible for curating Friday nights at the venue pushing some of the best up and comming talent across the UK.
