For my third year of university I had the opportunity to work as the head foley artist on a Nigerian political film that later went on winning varies awards.
At university we had a fullly functioning Foley room with multiple bits. Using mostly AKG c414 and a variety of shotgun mics to record.
I was in charge of another foley artist, with my job involving:
- Booking studio time
- Setting up studio
- Recording Foley
- Creating instrument/ sounds
- Editing in Protools
- Working with/co-operating with other departments
