Happy Beagle Project

  • Jisu BAE

Within Korea in 2015, 9,967 dogs were used in experiments to test products such as shampoo. Because of the toxicity of the tests, dogs as such as Beagles can lose both of their eyes. After this, the dogs are often euthanized. This project, called the “HAPPY BEAGLE Campaign” was made to increase awareness of laboratory tests made upon the beagle in Korea, and to engage the Korean society with the adoption of the Beagles, demystifying any associated prejudice. The project package consists of a booklet, postcard, and dogs' fabric design. The case of the booklet is designed to draw attention to the nameless, numerical status of the Beagles whilst in their oppressive trials.

A case of the booklet is designed to express a laboratory cage and the booklet out from the case means to rescue testing beagles as people are interested in this problem.
The booklet was designed for delivering information about testing beagle and adoption organization.
