HEALING: The Mind, The Body and the Image Today - group exhibition at The Bloomsbury Gallery (Spring 2019)

I conceived and curated this group exhibition to mark Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK (May 2019). Exhibiting my own paintings alongside Virginia Russolo, Janet McKenzie and Lara Shahnavaz, our opening event was attended by over 100 guests and by many more over the course of the week. Over 40 works were exhibited over the 2-floor space of The Bloomsbury Gallery, 34 Bloomsbury St, London. I commissioned a catalogue essay, wrote the foreword and designed the catalogue using Adobe InDesign. Only 50 copies were printed and we sold out in 2 days. The exhibiting reflected the four artists' practices and the healing nature of art-making for all of them. We also expressed the notion of mental health as something normal that everyone has, and the importance of sharing and expressing one's experiences, not just for artists.
