Series of sporting inner city sporting and music events across New Zealand major cities. I was in charge of all event management and organisation, including all marketing. Having been in this role since the inception, I have been involved in meeting and securing sponsors, selling marquee packages, and in the general organisation that goes into a large sporting and music event including management of the event on the day including all pack in/pack out and build as well as controlling budgets and suppliers. This also provided the opportunity to work on the digital and marketing side of the business including writing the website content, leading in the marketing, and the content creation and day to day running of the website and of all social media channels. By implementing new social media marketing tactics for the media platforms, in the past year, I greatly increased our audience on Facebook (now at 11k), and taken our Instagram following from 0 to 2000 with an exceptionally high level of engagement. The primary task of this role has been managing the Heineken Urban Polo Series across New Zealand’s four major cities. The concept is an inner-city polo event. The first two years of the events have seen considerable success and growth. A large part of my role was managing and maintaining relationships with sponsors and corporate clients. This included managing on site activations, pitching new ideas and concepts, and creation and presentation of all post-event documentation containing stats and analysis. Some of the sponsors I worked with include: Heineken, Perrier Jouet, Land Rover, Absolut, Samsung and Haagen-Dazs.
