About me
Since November 2014 I have been living and working in Australia and New Zealand. I recently returned to London and look forward to working in my home city. My CV shows that I have gained experience in events, marketing, advertising, PR, retail, sales and hospitality. My areas of interest career-wise now are rooted in marketing and communications, ideally using my writing ability combined with experience working in digital media marketing and client facing work with sponsors and suppliers through my event management position.
Throughout my time in New Zealand, I was working in an event management and marketing role for a sporting and music events business – the Heineken Urban Polo, as well as a social media marketing role for Bailey Nelson, glasses and sunglasses company. I have enjoyed the diverse and varying challenges associated with these different areas of work. I would like to continue to be involved in the spheres of marketing and events in a capacity that enables me to apply and hone the experience and skills garnered to date. I am a proficient writer so would love any opportunity to utilise this in a future role whether it be in a content, web or journalistic manner.

- Bailey Nelson New Zealand Summer Sun LaunchI organised and ran the first shoot exclusively using New Zealand models, clothing designers, jewellery designers, shot in NZ locations and using Kiwi photographers for Bailey Nelson's summer launch for NZ Summer 2017/2018. The content was then used across social channels and for the webpage as well as in print advertising for the brand.

Having been in this role since the inception, I have been involved in meeting and securing sponsors, selling marquee packages, and in the general organization that goes into a large sporting and music event. This has also provided the opportunity to work on the digital and marketing side of the business including writing the website content, aiding in marketing of the events and being in charge of all social media channels.
By implementing new social media marketing tactics for the Heineken Urban Polo social media platforms, in the past year, I have greatly increased our audience on Facebook (now at 11k), and taken our Instagram following from nothing to 2000 with an exceptionally high level of engagement. As well as managing of all social platforms, I also built and managed the website including the creation of images, graphics and logos. Through this work I developed a sound understanding of WordPress and basic level of proficiency with Photoshop.
The primary task has been managing the Heineken Urban Polo Series, a series of multiple events across New Zealand major cities. The concept and notion is an inner city polo event showcasing a fusion of sport and music in the city, providing an innovative event, completely new to the New Zealand market. The first events took place in February 2017 and was followed by an increased amount of 4 events in 2018

This role involved advising the Australia office on the New Zealand market, arranging collaborations, ambassadors, shoots etc as well as managing all social channels.
I managed and organised all content for the New Zealand Instagram account and wrote the Journal (blog), this included interviewing notable individuals in New Zealand and arranging all shoots. Alongside this, I managed the influencer program across New Zealand ensuring mutual benefit and maximum exposure for the brand. I have also managed or assisted in managing all Bailey Nelson events in New Zealand including store openings, product launches and market/festival days.
